Through our reconstruction process, the Hall of Four Heavenly Kings will become the new entrance to the Mahayana Temple Retreat, as is traditional in Buddhist temples. The updated building will be home to statues of Maitreya, Skanda, and the Four Heavenly Kings: Vaishravana, Virudhaka, Virupaksa, and Dhrtarastra. This hall will be built approximately at the current location of our Hall of the God of Wealth. We will be creating a scenic walking path with Japanese Zen influences, leading visitors to the front of the new hall. From there, visitors will be able to walk through the hall to the other side, which will open up to the rest of the temple grounds. Stay tuned and walk the path with us over the next several posts.
