Continuing on our journey from the previous post, the patio of the Hall of Four Heavenly Kings will face a long bridge over a new pond. The patio, featuring steps off either side and landscaping in front, will provide a space where visitors can safely stand and admire the serene view. At the same time, this layout helps maintain good fengshui, the Chinese concept of the universe’s flow of energy. The bridge will start out wide on this side and get narrower towards the opposite end. Guests leisurely crossing this bridge will be able to enjoy unique vantage points of the scenic temple grounds. Along the bridge, there will be a central point aligned with all surrounding buildings, creating a sense of harmony amongst the old and new structures. On the other side, the bridge transitions smoothly into a landing. Follow along as we continue sharing the planned layout throughout the upcoming posts.
