At this point in our retreat reconstruction process, we would like to introduce our core development team of engineers and architects. Assembling the most suitable group for this project has been important to us for the sake of creating the best improvements for the Mahayana Temple community. Collaborating with our development team has been very productive and fruitful so far. This group is qualified not only in skill and expertise, but also in their respect and understanding of the significance of the temple.
Our engineers are Dan Proper and Austin Leonard of Proper & O’Leary Engineering. The Mahayana Temple has had the honor of working with P&O Engineering since 2009. The expertise built in the many years since our introduction has given the engineers a unique awareness of the temple and its needs. Dan and Austin have expressed their enthusiasm for the project, referencing the long-lasting legacy it will create. We are confident that their contributions will be beneficial, simultaneously optimizing the construction and preserving the site’s natural surroundings. We look forward to seeing how their expertise continues to shape the project.
Our architects are Neil Pelone and Chris Petrone of Neil Pelone Architecture, introduced to the Mahayana Temple by Dan in 2019. Collaborating with them and hearing their creative ideas over the past few years has been insightful. We have seen the way they appreciate the significance of the different spaces within the retreat as well as the natural beauty of the site. They’ve shared their excitement about the project, telling us, “It’s rewarding for us to be part of a collective effort preserving important traditions while creating meaningful, impactful experiences for current and future generations.” We look forward to seeing the impact that their contributions will have on the project.
We are grateful to have this core development team, and we thank them for all their hard work. We would also like to extend our thanks to the readers following along and continuing to support our efforts towards reconstruction. Those who are interested in making a contribution may donate via our PayPal or Venmo accounts. May the merits of your support bring blessings.
