Qingming Memorial Services involve monks and lay Buddhists conducting rites to liberate ancestors and the deceased, and to pray for blessings for all people. The recitation of scriptures during these services is not only to repay the kindness of parents but also to express gratitude to the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha), teachers, and all sentient beings.
