Double Ninth Festival:10/11

Double Ninth Festival:  The Double Ninth Festival has a unique significance in Buddhism. While it originated from traditional Chinese culture, it is also seen as an important day for spiritual practices and remembrance in Buddhism. On this day, Buddhists often engage in various activities such as chanting, scripture reading, making offerings to the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha, and participating in charitable works.

In Buddhist tradition, the Double Ninth Festival is also a time to contemplate life’s impermanence, the realities of aging, and the sufferings faced by living beings. Through their practices and group religious activities, Buddhists aim to gain wisdom and find inner peace, while also cultivating a deep sense of compassion and understanding towards all forms of life.
