Mahayana Temple City Campus (New York) welcomes you to celebrate the 2025 Lunar New Year with us. Through traditional Buddhist ceremonies, we welcome the Year of the Snake, offering prayers for peace, prosperity, and blessings for all sentient beings. Join us as we chant, pray, and dedicate merit, spreading the Buddha’s wisdom and compassion to usher in a harmonious and auspicious new year.
Event Schedule
- New Year Bell Ringing and Blessing Ceremony
- Dates: January 29, 2025 – February 12, 2025 (Lunar Calendar: 1st Month, 1st Day to 15th Day)
- During this 15-day period, we will hold daily prayer ceremonies to mark the Lunar New Year. The bell ringing symbolizes the dispersal of obstacles and negative karma, bringing in good fortune and blessings for the year ahead.
- Universal Blessing Ceremony
- Date: Friday, January 31, 2025 (Lunar Calendar: 1st Month, 3rd Day)
- Join us for this profound Buddhist ceremony to pray for health, happiness, and prosperity for all beings. By participating in this prayer service, we dedicate our collective merit to peace in the world and harmony in the community.
